Privacy policy

Last updated November 7, 2026. As an introduction service, this site can be paid by an annotation vendor that a team chooses to meet; contact details reach a vendor only with that team's agreement. More on how referrals work.

Who is responsible for your details

Best Data Annotation Companies (bestdataannotationcompanies.com) is run by Joe Trewick trading as Grub Leads, which is responsible for your personal data. You can contact us at support@grubleads.com.

Best Data Annotation Companies is a matching service. We do not do the work ourselves. We introduce you to a local annotation vendor, who pays us for the introduction.

Inside a brief

When you use the quote form we collect:

  • your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code
  • the details you give about the job, such as size, use, budget and timing
  • your IP address, the page you sent the form from, and the wording you agreed to

Why we use your details

We use your details to find a local annotation vendor who can help with your request. We rely on your consent, which you give when you send the form.

We then contact you to tell you which firm we have found. We only pass your details to that firm after you tell us you are happy for us to. If we cannot find a firm within a reasonable time, we tell you and delete your request.

If you stop part way through the form, we keep what you entered so far for the same purpose, and delete it if the request is not completed.

We do not send you marketing, and we do not sell your details to anyone else.

Recipients of a brief

Your details go to:

  • the annotation vendor we name to you, and only after you agree
  • the companies that host this website and store our records for us, under contracts that protect your data

How long we keep your details

We keep your name, phone number, email address and IP address for 12 months, then delete them. We keep a record of the request without those details, so we can count how many requests the site receives.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within 45 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first at support@grubleads.com.

Cookies and visit statistics

We count visits with a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies or identify you. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

State privacy rights (US)

Since a vendor can reward us for an introduction, several states regard that hand-over as selling or sharing personal data. One email refuses it (the opt-out page has the address), and we keep a dated log of every refusal and when it took effect.

Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to see the personal information on file about you, have mistakes fixed, have it removed, and exercise any of this without penalty. No targeted advertising uses your details, and because this is a business form, nothing is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.

Keeping evidence of consent

Disputes under US telephone and text-message rules may surface years later. For that reason a five-year file records each consent: the number entered, a timestamp, the IP address, which page carried the form, and the consent sentence on screen at that moment. That file leaves out your name and email address, which are deleted on the usual timetable.
